The reception building emerges from pine trees at the centre of the campsite. It accommodates all the communal functions – reception, catering and showers/toilets – as well as the services essential to the campsite’s operations. Chairama SPA / Giancarlo Mazzanti + Felipe Mesa
The project is located in a traditional square in Bogotá between two other building with a specific norm that defines the height and general setbacks. The requirement to use as much area as possible, outlined a regular cubic volume isolated on all sides from other buildings and completely exposed to natural light. The activities within the building are organized into four levels and related to the different thermal levels of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta through botanical and animal shapes (read more…)

Hanil Visitors Center & Guest House / BCHO Architects
The Purpose of this project is to educate visitors about the potential for recycling concrete. In Korea concrete is the primary building material so it is imperative that we begin to re-use, the otherwise waste, concrete as buildings come down and are replaced. Kuokkala Church / Lassila Hirvilammi
The wish of the Parish of Jyväskylä was to build “a church that looks like a church”. Our proposal was a simple, sculptural form within which all of the church’s different functions could be contained. The design is “of our time”, yet permeated with nods to and re-interpretations of church-building tradition. The east-west oriented building stands centrally on Kuokkala Square, the focal point of Jyväskylä’s Kuokkala district (read more…)

BOXEL / Students of Detmolder Schule
The experimental pavilion BOXEL was designed and realized by students of the architecture department during the last summer semester on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences in Detmold. The expressive design by Henri Schweynoch, which succeeded in an impromptu competition, creates a generous spatial scenery for presentations, concerts, events and gatherings on the campus (read more…)
