This is a CNSR laboratory (National Science Research Center). The position of the building in a field respects and takes advantage of this particular landscape. The back of the building is technical room and the climatic research area. It was partly buried into the ground, skydomes give optimum lighting needed for climate experiments. The front of the building are the offices and laboratories. They are widely opened to the surrounding forest and protected with a metal skin system.
