Two plastic surgeons contacted SWAN architectes to design their office in a high-ceiling apartment, on the first floor of an Haussmannian building, right by the Champs Elysées in Paris. The lobby stretches like skin, as its sensual figure invites the patient in.
Partitions and ceiling spread out in tight curves, erasing existing imperfections as well as required devices. The architectural “lifting” process focused on functionality (the doctors sharing the place need space for storage), technology (computer network, air conditioning, specific equipments) and, what patients come to look for, aesthetics.”
